Meet Dr. Mikayla Schmolke
BKin, MSc Clinical Neuroscience, DC, Chiropractor
As an athlete growing up in a chiropractic family, Dr. Mikayla developed a keen appreciation for the principles of natural health from an early age. Whether she was looking for ways to improve her performance playing competitive soccer with the Calgary Blizzards, heal athletic injuries, manage stress or keep her immune system strong, Dr. Mikayla has always looked to chiropractic care, nutrition, adequate rest, massage and acupuncture for help. She discovered she loved to support children, young athletes and families by sharing her passion for natural health and made the decision to pursue chiropractic care as a career.
After completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, Dr. Mikayla continued her studies at Parker University in Dallas, Texas. While there, she received her Doctor of Chiropractic as well as a Master’s of Science in Clinical Neuroscience. In her final year, she completed her externship in a family practice, seeing moms-to-be and their babies, children and families as patients. Dr. Mikayla is a diversified practitioner who holds additional certifications in Webster Technique as well as Activator Methods.
Outside of the office, you will likely find Dr. Mikayla with her dogs, downhill skiing, playing soccer, gardening or doing just about anything recreational outside.
